DazzleGlaze Equinox Eggs Collection

*press sample*

Hello my amazing readers!! Today I have a new collection from DazzleGlaze that will be available for pre-order this Friday January 22nd through Friday January 29th! During pre-order, all polishes will be $.25 less than regular price. All of these polishes will be regularly listed at $9.50, with the exception of the one thermal, which will be regularly listed as $10.50. If you have been a fan of DazzleGlaze, and notice that those prices are an increase from polishes before, that is because Candace, the maker, has decided to offer $1 flat rate shipping on all US domestic orders. No more guessing what your shipping will be... it will always be $1. So to even things out just a little bit, an increase in polish pricing was needed. I still think she has one of the more reasonable pricing when it comes to polish, and now to offer such low shipping is even better. Win, win!

The Equinox Eggs Collection is a collection based on spring goddesses from multiple pantheons combined with animals that hatch from eggs! Super cute idea! The polishes are perfect spring colors too! So let's not delay, and let's get to the polishes!

First up is "Vesna's Alligators", named for the Slavic goddess of spring and fertility. This polish is a pastel green crelly with matte light pink and green glitter, and what I believe to be either white or pale yellow as well. This is a fun spring green. There is a ton of glitter in these polishes, so there will be no need to fish for any. You'll get plenty! Should the glitters get stuck together, just adding a tad bit of thinner will help keep application smooth. The press samples I received ended up with more glitter than intended, but Candace assured me it was an accident and the ones in the shop will be the correct amount. So no worries :-) I used two coats with top coat for my pictures.

Next up we have "Brigid's Canaries", named for the Celtic goddess of the arrival of spring. This polish is an orange/peach crelly with matte orange and bright blue glitters. This one photographed a little more orange than it is in real life. Apparently there are just some colors that my camera refuses to play nice with. So think a little lighter when looking at these pics. I used two coats with top coat for my pictures.

Next up is "Freya's Peacocks", named for the Norse goddess of love, fertility, and abundance. This polish is a robin's egg blue crelly with matte white, lavender, and mint glitters. This is one of my favorites from this collection. I love the combo of colors here, and it really does make me think of a peacock. I used two coats with top coat for my pictures.

Next is "Hebe's Seahorses", named for the Greek goddess of youth and renewal. This polish is a light pink crelly with matte grape, mint, and lilac glitters. This is another favorite from this collection because I'm in love with pink! Love the purple glitters thrown into this one as well. I used two coats with top coat for my pictures.

Next up is "Ostara's Angelfish", named for the Germanic diety of the equinox and the namesake of Easter. This polish is a lavender crelly with matte aqua, hot pink, and watermelon glitters. The purple base here had the hot pink glitters looking a little more red. I love the base color of this polish. Its so pretty! I used two coats with top coat for my pictures.

Lastly, we have my favorite from the collection, "Flora's Chameleons" which is named for the Roman goddess of flowers and springtime. This thermal polish changes from a magenta when cold to white when warm and features matter neon yellow and light green glitters. I am a huge fan of Candace's thermal polishes. The two thermals I reviewed from the Wild Hunt Collection have made me a HUGE fan! You can see my review for that collection here in case you missed it. This thermal here though is so pretty! I have fallen in love with thermals that change to white when warm now because of this one. Love it!! I used two coats with top coat for my pictures.

These were made as one batch polishes, and will not be back, so you should go snag yours as soon as you're done reading this post because there are only a few left of each of these beauties! Let's not delay and let's get to the polish!

First up is "Blushing Rose", which is a pink/nude crelly polish with gold holographic glitter, bronze flakes and a touch of linear holo. This is such a beautiful polish. I didn't want to take it off!  I love the sparkle in this as well. Formula was great. I used three thin coats with top coat for my pictures and I didn't have any issues at all. You need this one!!

The second polish I want to share with you is "Cherub's Kiss", which is a lilac crelly polish with sterling silver flakes, silver holographic flakes, purple flakes and a little linear holo thrown in for some extra sparkly goodness! Again, formula was great and easy to work with. I used three thin coats for my pictures with top coat. So feminine and pretty!

Painted Polish Frisky In Fuchsia and Drunk on Holo Striper

*press sample*

Hello readers!! Today's post is full of holo sparkle! I was super excited to meet Lexi, the creator of Painted Polish, at cosmoprof last July. She is SO sweet and I enjoyed getting a chance to chat with her. I hope she makes it out again this year so that I can get the chance to talk with her some more. She also makes the most amazing polishes I've had the pleasure of owning. She is mostly known for her super sparkly microglitter polishes, but is starting to branch out into cremes and stamping polishes. While I'm in love with, and still desperately need to purchase a TON of her microglitters, I'm super excited for more cremes and stamping polishes! She has also started doing her microglitters in striping bottles which make nail art with them SO simple. I have one of those to share with you today too! So let's not delay, and let's get to the polish!

First up is "Frisky In Fuchsia", which is a pink jelly polish with silver micro holographic glitters. I'm loving this polish for more than just one reason. It's pink, squishy, and has holo! Count me in! The formula on this jelly polish is absolutely perfect too! It had a smooth easy application, and the glitters dispersed nicely over the entire nail, without having to dab anywhere to get holo sparkles on my entire nail. Love it! I did three thin, easy coats with top coat for my pictures.

Next up is a fun new addition to my collection, the "Drunk Striper", which is her "Drunk On Holo" silver holographic microglitter polish in a 10ml striper bottle with a thin striper brush. This idea is genius! Glitter gradients have always kinda been a little tough for me, but the thin striper brush makes them so much easier! That's what I decided to use this striper for for this post. Using a regular sized polish brush for these types of gradients has its difficulties for me, and I always end up with too much glitter, where I don't want it. These stripers are perfect because you can get the glitter, right where you want it and it doesn't end up covering 90% of your nail. You could also use these stripers to create holo lines for nail art, or to give your French manicures extra sparkle by lining the white tip with glitter. The possiblities are endless, and I really love this idea. I used my striper over black for the gradient in my pictures below. I need all of the stripers now!

Here is a comparison of the two brushes, to give you an idea of what a striper brush looks like compared to a normal polish brush, in case you aren't sure. As you can see, the striper brush is longer and much thinner, making nail art super simple!

What do you think of these beautiful products from Painted Polish? My list of polishes that I want from this brand is a mile long. Seriously. I cannot imagine that I'll ever be able to complete my list lol. If you'd like to check out the other gorgeous polishes that Lexi has to offer, or to purchase your own, you can do so by visiting the shop here. Also be sure you are following on instagram @paintedpolishbylexi or that you have liked their page on Facebook here to keep up with all sales and releases of new pretties! I hope you enjoyed today's post! Until next time, happy polishing!

Bohemian Polish Mojave Morning

*press sample*

Hello again readers! Today's post is for a single polish again, however, this single polish is an absolute stunner and I am so happy to have it as a part of my collection. Bad news is... it was a cosmoprof vegas exclusive polish from last year so it is sadly not available for purchase. I know, I know, I'm sorry!! Bohemian Polish makes some gorgeous polishes though, so after reading this post you should head to their site and pick up a couple! So let's get started!

Today's polish is called "Mojave Morning", which is a light grey holographic polish with a touch of gorgeous shimmer! I know we all search for that elusive, technically not possible, white holographic polish, but this one is a great alternative to that. While it isn't white, its still an absolutely beautiful light grey, that indoors is beautiful, and outdoors it sparkles like no other! I fell in love with this baby as soon as I applied the first coat. Application was super smooth and easy. I used two coats with top coat for my pictures. I could have done three coats to get this a little bit more opaque, but honestly... two was perfect enough for me! Keep in mind that when I took my outdoor pictures in the sun, my camera pulled this polish more purple, I assure you though. To my eyes, it was not purple outdoors. Camera's play funny tricks like that sometimes.

Polish TBH Glycerine and Daughter

Hello readers! Its been a while since I've had some Polish TBH on my blog. So I thought I would do a post on a mani I did. If you aren't in the fan facebook group Polish To Be Honest, I decided to start a weekly hashtag #PolishTBHManiThursday. Pretty self explanatory right? Basically every Thursday, you should be posting a mani using Polish TBH polishes and us the hashtag when posting on IG. It's been a fun and easy way to get myself to use more of my Polish TBH pretties, as well as show even more love for one of my favorite brands and makers.

So, today I have decided to use "Glycerine", which is a grey jelly polish with blue/green flakies and silver micro shimmer, and "Daughter" which is a raspberry jelly with gold flakies and copper microglitters. My full mani pics would not cooperate and give very accurate color representation, but the macros are more true to color. Just keep that in mind. The formulas on both of these were pure perfection. I used three easy, thin coats for both of them and had no issues. I then topped them off with HK Girl top coat from Glisten & Glow for my pictures. Just for fun, I also added some Holo stamping over "Glycerine" using Uber Chic Beauty plate 2-01 and Color Club "Harp On It".

So that is this week's Polish TBH Mani Thursday. I encourage you to join in and post your own mani's to Instagram and other social media. Make sure if you do participate to use the hashtag #PolishTBHManiThursday so I can see all of your amazing creations! If you'd like to purchase any of your own pretties... you can do so in the Polish TBH shop here. Also be sure to follow on Instagram @polishtbh or join the fan group here to keep up with all new polishes and/or sales! I hope you enjoyed today's post, and I really hope to see some of you participate every week! As always, make sure you subscribe to my blog so that you don't miss any new posts! Thanks for reading! Until next time, happy polishing!

Darling Diva Affair In Vegas

*press sample*

Hello readers! Today's post is a short one. I have just one polish to share with you from Darling Diva Polish. This is a first for me from this brand, and this post is well over due (That's why my nails are super long in this post lol). This polish was an exclusive polish to cosmoprof in Vegas last July, yes, over due... so it is not available for purchase, but I needed to share this polish with you still because I'd like to give you my impression of this brand. Since it is a first for me I wanted you all to know how I feel about it. Simply put, I love it! So let's get to it!

"Affair in Vegas" is a metallic purple micro flakie jelly polish with multichrome flakies. This polish is such a stunner! Formula is great! I only needed two coats, and all of those gorgeous flakies still shine right through! I'm wondering now why I don't have more Darling Diva polishes in my collection TBH. Carrie, the maker, is a lot of fun too. Those indie/blogger events last year wouldn't have been the same without her presence. :-) All in all... just great!

I see no reason why you yourself shouldn't have at LEAST one Darling Diva polish in your collection. If you'd like to purchase some of the other beautiful polishes that Carrie creates, you can do so by visiting her shop here. If you do own some other polishes of hers, let me know in the comments below which ones are your favorites! Also, do make sure that you are also following them on Instagram @darlingdivapolish and Facebook here to keep up with sales and new releases. I hope you enjoyed today's post. As always, make sure you subscribe to my blog while you're here! Thanks for reading, and happy polishing!
