Dashing Housewife Polish Pink Isn't Just A Color, It's An Attitude

Hello loves!!! Today I have a new collection from Dashing Housewife Polish called "Pink isn't just a color, it's an attitude". This collection was made for the pink lover FOR SURE, so you know I love it! :) There are eight fun polishes in this collection and I really like them all. This collection is available now, so make sure to swing by DreAnn's shop after you see the beautiful polishes :)

First up is "I Pink I'll Find Him", which is a milky light turquoise base with slight shimmer with navy, blue, white and fuchsia glitters in various shapes and sizes. I like this polish because of the amazing color combo between polish base and glitters. It all works very well together. Formula and dry time were good. Fishing for the white circles was required, but nothing TOO hard. It's expected with larger glitters so I don't mind. I used three thin coats with top coat.

Next up is "Pocket Full of SweetTarts", which is a light grey base with a slight holographic effect combined with aqua, pink, and white glitters. I've always loved light grey paired with pastel type colors. I think it just looks extremely good together and this polish is no exception. Formula and dry time were good, with a little fishing for the larger glitters. I used three thin coats with top coat for my pictures.

Next we have "Pegasus Fluff", a white crelly polish with pink, blue, and purple glitters. I love white crelly polishes. Any combination of glitters in a white crelly make me happy. These glitters look really good together too and I love the end result. Formula and dry time were good. Pictures are three thin coats with top coat.

Moving right along now, this beautiful and delicate polish is called "Pink is The New White". A pale pink with purple to blue to red shifting shimmer. Absolutely stunning! I love the idea of simple, yet gorgeous, and this is definitely it! Formula was good as well as dry time. For my pictures I used three coats plus top coat.

(Macro Shimmer Goodness)

Up next is my favorite from this collection which is "Who Needs Barbie!". Please excuse me while I die. "Who Needs Barbie!" Is a bright pink holo jelly base with bright pink holo hexes in two sizes. This, this right here is SO pretty in person. Formula and dry time on this were good. When wearing this polish though, PLEASE make sure to wear a good base coat, however pretty and gorgeous this may be, it can be a stainer. If it does stain your nails after you remove it though, scrub your nails and fingers with whitening toothpaste immediately after removal and all should be fine! ;-) a little staining from a beautiful polish was never more worth it with this one. I used three coats with top coat for my pictures. Just look already!

Now for a fun jelly polish, "Rockin' housewife". A hot pink jelly base with white skulls, and black and white glitters. This is my first polish with skull glitter and I think they're fun! I did have problems fishing them out of my little mini bottle, but I had to get them out!! This polish also glows in the dark! This is the first glow in the dark polish DreAnn has made and I love her idea for this one. The glow doesn't last too long with this one though, but it's her first so they'll only get better! :) I still love the polish though even if she didn't make it glow at all, it would still be great! :) formula was good and dry time was good too. I used three coats with top coat for my pictures.

Next up is another one of my favorites from this collection, "Razzle My Berries", which is a light pink crelly base, with navy and white glitters. I just love the way this looks on the nail. Its delicate, yet the glitters make it fun. Super pretty, with a good formula and a good dry time. I used three thin coats for my pictures with top coat.

Last, but certainly not least, is "Cupid's Crazy Delight", which is a thermal polish that changes from purple when cold, to pink when warm. As if thermals weren't amazing enough, this thermal also sports fuschia and purple glitters. How pretty right? Formula and dry time was good on this one as well. I used three coats plus top coat for my pictures.

Bliss Polish Valentine's Day Collection

Oooooh Valentine's Day.... While this will be my ninth Valentine's Day with my husband, it's never been anything special for us. We've either been apart in different states (now different countries) or he was working as a server EVERY Valentine's Day. Needless to say, something has always gotten in the way of our Valentine's Day and made it just another day for the both of us. However, even though my husband is deployed for this one, I still am excited for Valentine's Day this year because of all the fun indie polishes I'm seeing. Bliss Polish are the only ones I currently have in, and on, my pretty little hands and they are beautiful. So today I have three out of the six polishes from that collection to share with you. So let's get right into it shall we?

First up I have for you "Kismet", which is a lilac purple with purple micro flakies. Lilac is such a pretty color to start with, but those flakies really make this polish sparkle. Application and dry time were good. For my pictures I used three thin coats with top coat. My camera picked up this polish a little darker than it is in real life. The macro shot is more color accurate.

The second polish I was sent to swatch and review is called "Wine And Dine", which is a wine colored polish with scattered holo. I am not usually a red person, but Yvette has made some pretty amazing reds. One of my favorites from her is Bite, the reformulated version, from the Behind Closed Doors Collection, and this one is now right up there with it. It's just so pretty with that slight holo. I used two coats with top coat for my pictures and the formula and dry time were good.

(Light Box)

(Sun Shot Magic)

Lastly is my favorite of the three. I'm a sucker for teals, greens, and blues so this one was right up my alley. This is "Xo" which is a teal jelly base with different sizes of aqua, teal, brown and gold glitters. This glitter mix was perfect together and I personally haven't seen it before so it was great! Formula and dry time were good and it makes me want a full size because it's just that great to me lol. I used three coats with top coat.

(Light Box with Top coat)

I've become obsessed with using a matte top coat with jellies now so I had to matte "Xo" and of course, I loved it matte as well. :)

Well that's all I have for you today. I hope you liked this post. Leave me your comments below on which of these three were your favorite. You can also subscribe via email to my blog or follow via GFC if you'd like as well. Make sure to check out Bliss Polish on Instagram @blisspolish for news and updates, and if you like any of these and wish to purchase them for yourself you can do so in her shop here. All of these beauties sell for $8 full size and $4 mini. Thanks for reading!!

Polish TBH Meraki Collection

Yay for another blog post!! My husband is deployed and I've been feeling blah lately, but I have some pretty awesome polishes to share with you today. I was sent three polishes from Polish TBH's new Meraki inspired collection, of which there are six polishes total. I am so in love with the idea of this collection. Meraki means "doing something with soul, creativity, or love", and that is exactly the things that Chrissy puts into every bottle of polish she pours. So, without any further delay, here are the three polishes I received for swatch and review. :-) Enjoy!

First up we have Eros, the greek goddess of love, and do I ever LOVE this polish! Eros is a light purple creme based polish that has hints of red micro shimmer and also has gorgeous gold glitters throughout. The formula on this was good as well as a good dry time. There is a small issue with my bottle and a few others having tiny clumps of pigment still in them. You can see them in some of my pics, but Chrissy is aware of this and is trying diligently to get rid of them for you lovelies. :-) I honestly am so blow away by this beautiful polish that they weren't even a factor for me. :-) Shown below is three thin coats with top coat. Gorgeous!!

Next in this collection is Tekhne, the greek goddess spirt of art. This is a bright, and I do mean a BRIGHT neon orange crelly with various shapes and colors of glitters, including brown, yellow, purple and orange. If you've ever tried capturing the true color of a neon polish, you know how difficult it can be and how most cameras do not want to play nice. I tried my best to get it as color accurate as possible. I got pretty close honestly. :)  This is such a fun and unique polish in my opinion. Good formula and dry time as well. Shown here is two coats on its own with a top coat.

(So hard to capture perfectly, crazy neons! Taken in my light box)

(How fun! Blacklight and UV light reactive as well)

Finally, we have Elysium. I think Chrissy needs to make more of these types of holo polishes because this one is STUNNINGLY gorgeous!! Elysium, or Elyisian fields, which is known as the greek mythology version of the Christian based theory of Heaven is an emerald green holo polish. Let me tell you... I have been in heaven all day with this baby on my fingers for sure! I swatched it last on purpose for two reasons, one because I swatched these at night, which means, no sun, and you cannot take swatch pictures of a holo polish without a sun shot, right? So I would have to wait until the following day to get those. The second reason I swatched it last? Because even in the bottle I can tell that this polish is heavenly, (see what I did there?) and that I would want to wear it for a couple days. So I did three thin coats of Elysium with a top coat. I easily could have left it alone at two thicker coats, but I wanted three, just because I can lol. Formula on this one is good and dry time is fairly quick when doing thin coats. If you buy any from this collection... buy this one PLEASE! lol

(taken in my light box)

(Hello Holo!! Sun shot of Elysium)

(how could I resist a macro sun shot?)

Well there you have it my dears. Three gorgeous polishes from Polish TBH.... I wish I could keep elysium on for a week, but I have to paint my nails for a Saints game tomorrow afternoon (WHO DAT?!?!) and then will be painting my nails in some sort of Disney fashion since we are heading to Disneyland on Sunday to celebrate my little man's THIRD birthday, which is Monday. Three?? Really?? Already?? :-( lol Anyway, if you would like to purchase any of these beautiful polishes Chrissy is having a pre-order through her shop here on Saturday 1/11 at 11am PST. Make sure you follow Polish TBH on instagram @polishtbh and also check her out on Facebook here to see swatches of the other three polishes from this collection.
